Celine Resort 2012 Collection

>> Slouchy silhouettes and a heavy dose of prints stood out at Phoebe Philo's Resort 2012 collection for Celine. There were floral jacquard skirts, graphic rose-print jackets, paneled-leather dresses, loose-cut trousers (in hot pink and cobalt), and plenty of sheer blouses to go around. Accessories included oversized belts with giant buckles and shiny white peep-toe platforms. The sum of all these intersecting parts? The kind of cool-girl femininity that Philo's Celine is revered for.

Miu Miu Resort 2012

>> While many used their Resort 2012 collections to go beachy — a number of designers even trying their hand at swimswear for the first time — it's clear that Miuccia Prada was thinking holiday instead. In amongst the oversized gingham check and eighties-y lightning bolt prints of Miu Miu's Resort 2012 collection were party-ready balloon minidresses, piles of costume jewelry, and strappy glitter heels — the collection will hit stores near the end of the year, after all.

Mulberry Resort 2012 Collection

>> With the 1970s British seaside in mind, Mulberry's creative director Emma Hill presented a jaunty collection of separates and shorts suits for Resort 2012. Cheeky prints in caramel, baby-blue, and pale pink turned up on shirt dresses, blouses, and camp jackets, while bedazzled chambray, enlarged eyelet, and pops of yellow contributed to the retro-boardwalk feel. Accessories included leopard-print pumps, patterned platforms and matching visors.

Stella McCartney Resort 2012 Collection Accessories

>> Stella McCartney's Resort 2012 collection was a literal garden of delights, and the accessories were no exception.  We spotted Hawaiian-print beach bags, neon lucite sandals, and lots of cool, faux python. Click through to see all the accessories, as snapped at the Resort presentation.

Opening Ceremony Resort 2012 Lookbook

>> The first Resort collection from Opening Ceremony is a windswept mix of botanic prints and easy, music-festival-ready silhouettes. Look for lots of breezy '60s and '70s shapes — mod dresses, flowing palazzo pants, tiered halter tops, and wildflower skirts — all in a palette of blood orange, acid yellow and cobalt blue. Tim Barber shot the lookbook and Camille Rowe models.

Lanvin Resort 2012 Collection

>> A diverse group — Madame Gres, Elizabeth Taylor, and the Princes Harry and William — were Alber Elbaz's inspirations for the Lanvin Resort 2012 collection. There were softly draped dresses and jumpsuits in shades of citrine, taupe, and ivory; marching jackets in tweed and leather; and plenty of ruffles and fringe to go around. Accessories included frayed tweed fedoras, silky turbans, oversized beads (layered on in multiple) and paneled, chain-strap bags.
But that's not all. The outing also marked Lanvin's first foray into children's wear and featured 15 looks for girls ages 4-10. The festive collection of mini-me styles included a voluminous crimson number, a smart taffeta trench, and, a velvety pinafore in Prussian blue.

Givenchy Resort 2012

>> Digitally-altered floral prints inspired by Hawaiian surf culture dominated Riccardo Tisci's Resort 2012 outing for Givenchy. Vividly printed on pencil skirts, sheath dresses, blouses, and jackets, the mirror-image patterns provided an intriguing foil to Tisci's other theme — basketball dressing. Sweatshirts, knits skirts, and tiny cropped sweaters — some with sporty mesh inlays and asymetrical silhouettes —  added a casual feel, while bright orange handbags, athletic visors, coach-whistle necklaces and shoes with matchy-matchy prints tied everything together.

Acne Resort 2012 Collection

>> A little '50s, a little '40s, and lots of downtown charm. Pastel leather, floral-print taffeta and torn denim populated the Acne Resort 2012 Collection. Crinkly blouses with Peter Pan collars looked sweet, while maxi-length hems and motorcycles jackets — sometimes layered over pants — made for an appealing mash-up of formal-meets-casual style.
